Stocard is gone. Your cards are not.
Klarna acquired Stocard in July 2021 and folded the loyalty wallet into its own app. By the middle of 2025 the Stocard app had left the App Store and Google Play, and stocardapp.com no longer opens. What used to be a small card wallet is now a section of a payments app.
The cards themselves were never locked in. A loyalty card is a number printed as a barcode, and any app that draws that number in the right format scans at the register. That is why a screenshot is enough to move a card into a wallet that opens instantly, offline, with nothing to sign in to.

The barcode moves. The history does not.
A screenshot carries the code and nothing else, which is exactly what a checkout scanner reads. Here is where that line falls.

Points and balances belong to the retailer, not to the barcode, so scanning the card in a shop still credits the same account it always did. ScanKeeper shows the code and gets out of the way.
What ScanKeeper asks for, and what it never asks for
There are no accounts in the app, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to be signed out of. It asks for two permissions and no others: the camera, to scan a code in front of you, and the photo library, to read a code out of a picture you already have. It never asks for your location and it does not send push notifications.
Cards are stored on the device, and the whole app keeps working with the network switched off. On iPhone and iPad you can turn on iCloud sync, and the data then travels to your own iCloud rather than to a server of ours. There are no ads and no advertising SDKs. Usage is measured with anonymous counters through TelemetryDeck, without advertising identifiers, and crashes are reported through Sentry.

Screenshot the cards in your old app
Open each card in the wallet you are leaving and take a screenshot of the code. Then open Actions in ScanKeeper and choose Bulk import.
Select up to 50 photos
Choose the images from your gallery in one pass instead of importing every card separately.
Let ScanKeeper scan the batch
The app checks each image for supported QR codes and barcodes directly on the device.
Check the value, then name the card
Compare each detected value with the number printed on the card, give the card a name you will recognize at the till, and skip or retype anything the photo could not deliver.

What to know before you start
Is the Stocard app still available?
No. Stocard is no longer in the App Store or on Google Play, and its website no longer opens. Klarna acquired Stocard in July 2021 and moved loyalty cards into the Klarna app, so that is where the collection ended up for the people who kept using it.
Do I need an account to use ScanKeeper?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address, and no password. You install the app and start adding cards, and there is no account to lose access to later.
Does ScanKeeper work without an internet connection?
Yes. Scanning, saving, organizing, and displaying your cards all run on the device, so a shop with no reception changes nothing. Recognizing a code from a photo is done on the phone as well.
Can I add any loyalty card?
You can add any card that carries a supported code: QR Code, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF-14, Codabar, PDF417, Aztec, and Data Matrix. If the number is printed but the code will not scan, you can type the value in by hand. A card with no code at all — one that only works through a chip or an app login — has nothing to copy.
What happens to my cards in Stocard or Klarna?
Nothing. ScanKeeper never touches another app: it only reads the photos you hand it. Your old wallet keeps its copies until you decide to remove them, so you can keep both installed while you check that every card scans at the till.
Can ScanKeeper import my cards from another app automatically?
No. There is no automatic transfer between wallet apps. The route is a screenshot or a photo of each card, which ScanKeeper can then read in batches of up to 50 images.
How is this different from Apple Wallet?
Apple Wallet shows passes a shop issued and signed, so a card nobody published as a pass cannot go in. ScanKeeper is a plain barcode wallet: it saves any supported code you scan yourself, and it runs on iOS and Android.
What is free and what needs Premium?
Scanning, manual entry, reading codes from images, bulk import, custom card names, and full-screen display are free, and the number of cards is not limited. Premium adds folders, search across the collection, CSV export, and the home screen widget.
Which languages does the app support?
The interface is translated into 39 languages.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Cards live on the device, so removing the app removes them with it. If iCloud sync is switched on, a copy stays in your own iCloud. With Premium you can export the collection to CSV first and keep that file wherever you like.
Does ScanKeeper collect analytics?
The app sends anonymous usage counters through TelemetryDeck and crash reports through Sentry. There are no advertising identifiers, no ad SDKs, and no ads anywhere in the app.
